Cultivate Interest in Science from the Children

How to grow a child's interest in science are many and manifold ways one is through a competition. Not long ago, Kalbe Farma has organized exhibitions and educational entertainment, named Junior Science Fair (JSF).

Luhut Budijarso, Chairman of the Committee for the Celebration of Hut-45 Kalbe Farma said the activity was created solely as an effort to foster a love of science since I was early. Junior Science Award (part of the JSF) is addressed to primary school children Indonesia (class IV-VI SD) to display all at once become a competition of the work and creativity in science.

"This activity aims to give understanding to the children of Indonesia that the science is not something to be feared, but something fun, exciting and easy," he said, in the Junior Science Fair Media Roundtable on Wednesday (07/09/2011 ), in Jakarta.

Of the 199 works entered, the jury has selected 18 finalists, and have determined the nine winners. And the nine winners will display their work at the event in Junior Science Fair, at 10 to 11 September 2011, at the Assembly Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, 09:00 to 19:00 o'clock.

"For the nine winners each earn Rp 10 million and for each school we also provide 10 million," he said.
